Library Policy and Procedures

Library Cards:

  • Library cards are free to anyone registering for a card for the first time.
  • Please Present a Driver's License OR ID with a current local or Comanche County address or an address in the immediate surrounding areas of Eastland and Erath counties. 
  • A utility bill or other official mail with the local address will also be required along with the ID or Driver's License if the address on the Driver's License or ID is not current. 

To Replace a Lost card, a fee of $5.00 will be charged. 

Patrons must have library cards with them in order to check out/renew any material and/or use the public access computers. 

Renewing Materials:

  • Renew at the circulation desk during your library visit
  • Renew on the Phone 254-893-2417
  • Movies are NOT Renewable - must be returned by the due date.

Lost or Damaged Items:

If an item is Lost or Damaged enough that it cannot be repaired and returned to circulation, the Borrower will be charged the replacement cost of the item. A $10.00 processing fee will also be charged to cover the supplies and staff time expended.
